Safety Patrol

Safety Patrol members are 5th grade students who have shown citizenship, responsibility, and good work habits in the classroom. Fourth grade students interested in safety patrol may apply near the end of the school year. Those students chosen will receive training in the spring of 4th grade and will then be on Safety Patrol in 5th grade the next school year.

The important job of Safety Patrol is to remind students of safety rules learned in the classroom and to guide them in safe crossing going to and from school. Patrol members receive instructions, guidelines and procedures during their training and regular patrol meetings.
